Medford police arrested Lewis Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree theft and on warrants for violating his probation on prior attempt to elude police in a vehicle and felon in possession of a restricted weapon convictions. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $7,500 bail. Vehicle Theft ― Christopher Mark Hancock, 40, of the 100 block of Sharon Drive, Phoenix. Ashland police arrested Hancock Wednesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor charges of attempting to elude police on foot and interfering with police, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin and interfering with police. He was held in jail Wednesday on $32,500 bail. Marijuana Crime ― Steven Wesley Ross II, 31, of the 11600 block of Highway 238, Jacksonville. The Jackson County Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team arrested Ross Wednesday on felony charges of unlawfully manufacturing, delivering and possessing a marijuana item, money laundering and felon in possession of a firearm. He was held in jail Wednesday on $47,500 bail. Identity Theft ― Michael Robert Shepard, 32, no known address. Medford police arrested Shepard Wednesday on two felony counts of identity theft and two misdemeanor counts of providing false information to police. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
