County reports nine new cases By Mail Tribune staff Sep 27, 2020 03:00 PM A A Jackson County Public Health reported nine new cases of COVID-19 today, raising the county’s total number of cases to 1,148, including 166 considered active or infectious. Statewide, the Oregon Health Authority today reported 242 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 and Oregon’s 547th novel coronavirus-related death. The total number of cases in Oregon now stands at 32,820. Oregon’s most recent COVID-19 death was an 81-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive Wednesday and died Saturday at Providence Portland Medical Center. She had underlying conditions.
