Wilson allowed two hits with two strikeouts and no walks in three innings and then Shopp took over to allow two hits with one strikeout and no walks in the final two innings for the Class 5A Eagles (4-12). Eagle Point broke the game open with a six-run second inning that was highlighted by two-run singles from Jacoby Jackson and Wilson, who finished with three RBIs overall. Dylan Marsh was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and the Eagles also picked up RBI efforts from Nate Paige, Ryan Lorenz and Trae Perkins against North Valley (6-8). SOUTH EUGENE 6, GRANTS PASS 5 : At Eugene, Grants Pass scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to tie the Southwest Conference game but South Eugene responded with a walk-off single by Isaiah Molaski in the bottom half of the frame. Easton Bents went 2-for-3 with one run and Tyler Rund was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Cavemen (7-8, 4-6 SWC). The Axemen moved to 7-7 overall and 4-6 in league. Brady Robison and Tanner Smith each had two hits and an RBI for the Crusaders (9-6). McCabe has four homers on the year. Softball ROGUE RIVER 14, PROSPECT/BUTTE FALLS 12 : At Prospect, Rogue River’s Marina Hall drove in five runs in going 2-for-3 and the Chieftains got three hits apiece from Brittany Fredenburg, Kobie Gibson, Josie Pratt and Cortney Hardy to earn the nonleague victory. For Prospect/Butte Falls (6-4), Shawna Creech was 4-for-5 with three runs and Katie Munsell and Julia Latona each had three hits against Rogue River (8-4).
