Student standouts: Ludlow, Vargas, Delaney, DeRoule, McAninch-Ruenzi, Millenheft Monday Oct 31, 2016 at 11:50 AM Ludlow inducted into Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Kevin Ludlow of Medford was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Ludlow was initiated at Brigham Young University-Hawaii. Ludlow is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction. Vargas graduates from Bates College Lupe Vargas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Filiberto Vargas of Medford, has graduated after majoring in sociology at Bates College in Lewis, Maine. She is a 2012 graduate of South Medford High School. Bates College graduated 462 students from 32 states and 43 countries. Delaney graduates from University of Rhode Island Jack Edward Delaney of Medford received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Rhode Island in South Kingston. DeRoule, Michael graduate from WSU The following Washington State University students earned undergraduate degrees for the spring 2016 semester: Heidi Marie DeRoule of Central Point, Master of Business Administration; and Ryann Ashley Michael of Eagle Point, Bachelor of Arts in Digital Technology and Culture. McAninch-Ruenzi graduates from Rensselaer Wyler McAninch-Ruenzi of Ashland earned a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., in May. Founded in 1824, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is America's oldest technological research university. Millenheft named to UD Honor Roll Elizabeth Millenheft of Medford was named to the University of Dallas Honor Roll for the spring 2016 semester for earning a semester GPA of 3.0-3.49. Millenheft is majoring in Human Sciences in the Contemporary World.
