Harris, 66, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Medford, Ore. Born December 20, 1949 in San Pedro, Calif. to Donald and Mildred Sherman, Judy and her sister Carolyn were raised in San Bernardino, Calif. After high school, Judy attended California State University in San Bernardino where she earned a bachelor degree in psychology. After college she met her future husband, Laurence. The two fell in love and were married September 7, 1974 in Lake Arrowhead, Calif. After moving to Oregon, Judy got a job with Jackson County working with the developmentally disabled. She had true passion for helping others, and it was something she instilled in her two sons, Christopher and Matthew. Her other passion in life besides her family was spending time in her flower garden. Judy is survived by her husband, Laurence Harris; two sons, Christopher Harris and Matthew Harris; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Colin, Madisyn, and Dylan; and her sister, Carolyn Prince. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mildred Sherman. A Celebration of Life will be held for Judy from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. August 21, 2016 at Holmes Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honor of Judy to the American Cancer Society.
