Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend August 21, 2005 Since WEAsked: Who Are You? Identity theft — it’s become the scourge of the nation. You just can’t be sure who is out there plotting to use your personal information for their personal gain. We’ve seen local examples of ordinary citizens falling into a nightmare of police reports and embarrassment, all because of ID theft. We asked: Are you worried about becoming a victim of identity theft or other computer-based crimes? Well, some scientists have hatched a plan to bring African wildlife to the Great Plains. Of course, fences would be built to keep these lions, tigers and elephants (oh my!) in check. Yeah, right. We saw "Jurassic Park" too. We asked: Should wild creatures such as elephants and lions be introduced to the Great Plains of the U.S., as some scientists suggest? Please keep your answers brief and on the issue at hand. Responses received without your name and town can not be considered for publication. All responses will appear on the Web site a week from today. You may submit your answer by using the form here on the Web site, or you may respond directly to Since WEAsked: Who Are You?
