Ashland will host a job fair this Thursday and follow it up with an all-ages dance party nine days later. Ski area officials said in a news release that the job fair will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 at the ski lodge. There will be openings for about 130 people, the release said, including cashiers, bartenders, lift operators, ski and snowboard instructors, rental shop technicians, cafe chefs, lodge maintenance, parking hosts and ticket checkers. Employees receive free season passes and discounts on food and lessons, officials said. Anyone interested should apply online at www.mtashland.com/employment . Walk-ins will be accepted throughout the day Nov. 12, but officials recommended applying online in advance. Applications can also be completed in person 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mt. Ashland business office, 693 Washington Ave., Ashland. The resort will host its all-ages "Snow Stomp" dance party from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. at the lodge. The event is free and open to everyone.
