County Fair Board asks for public input Monday Oct 24, 2016 at 3:37 PM Oct 24, 2016 at 3:37 PM The Jackson County Fair Board will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the current state and possible future direction of the fair and The Expo. The hearing will be held in the Mace Watchable Wildlife Center at The Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. Previously supported with county government funding, The Expo is now expected to be a self-supporting enterprise. The current fair board and staff at The Expo have been credited with attracting year-round events — boosting revenue and visitation to the grounds. The fair board is charged with management and oversight of The Expo grounds, as well as the annual fair. Its mission is to provide social, cultural, recreational, agricultural, commercial and educational opportunities for the residents of Jackson County.
