RUMORS: OSF's Tyrone Wilson directs the comedy by Neil Simon in which four couples arrive at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. The party never begins because of all the zany events that take place. The show will play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday evenings through Nov. 11 with one matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12. THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND AND THE ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE: Madeline DeCourcey directs "The Real Inspector Hound," Tom Stoppard's comic spoof of the whodunits popularized by Agatha Christie. A secluded English country manor house, ominous radio reports of a criminal on the loose, visitors behaving suspiciously, a relative with a shady past and an unidentified body hidden behind the sofa. Rose Wingenbach directs "The Actor's Nightmare," Christopher Durang's spoof which details the plight of George Splevin, an unlucky accountant who is suddenly thrust on stage to replace an ailing actor with no knowledge of the lines, the plot, or even what play he's supposed to be performing. The shows run at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 19. 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, is "pay what you can" night. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and children. FAHRENHEIT 451: Ray Bradbury's adaptation of his classic novel "Fahrenheit 451" (the temperature at which paper ignites) tells the story of Guy Montag, a book-burning fireman who must choose between continuing his nonexistent existence and risking everything for the right to think. THE PHILADELPHIA STORY: OSF's Scott Kaiser directs Philip Barry's original script for the theater version of his play in which wealthy socialite Tracy Lord has three men vying for her hand, and one of them is her ex-husband. The play runs at 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday Nov. 9 through 19 with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, Nov. 19 in SOU's Center Stage Theatre. Tickets are $17, $14 for seniors and $5 for students.
