Jackson County at 343 deaths By Nick Morgan Updated: Nov 16, 2021 02:44 PM A A State health officials reported 52 new coronavirus deaths Tuesday, including three new deaths in Jackson County. The new COVID-19 related fatalities bring Jackson County’s latest death toll up to 343 since the start of the pandemic, according to Jackson County Health and Human Services data and Oregon Health Authority reports. Details about the three latest Jackson County fatalities were not yet available as of Tuesday afternoon, but state health officials released new information about the three local deaths logged Monday. Jackson County deaths reported Monday included a 64-year-old woman who tested positive for the coronavirus Nov. 7 and died Nov. 11 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, and a 79-year-old woman who first tested positive Oct. 26 and died Nov. 11, according to state health officials. They each had underlying conditions that contributed to their deaths. Josephine County deaths reported Monday included a 58-year-old man who tested positive Aug. 23 and died Sept. 6 and Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, a 66-year-old man who tested positive Aug. 7 and died Sept. 10 and Asante Three Rivers Medical Center and a 98-year-old man who tested positive Aug. 31 and died Sept. 6 at his residence. Health officials say the 58-year-old man had no underlying conditions, are still checking for underlying conditions in the 66-year-old man and that the 98-year-old had underlying conditions. Other deaths around the state Monday involved locals in their 40s, 50s , 60s, 70s 80s in Multnomah, Marion, Linn, Umatilla, Columbia, Lincoln, Deschutes, Klamath and Lincoln counties. State health officials reported 88 new cases Tuesday, which bring the Jackson County case log to 24,269 since the start of the pandemic. Broken down by county, the latest cases include 104 in Multnomah, 88 in Washington, 85 in Marion, 59 in Deschutes, 41 in Polk, 36 in Clackamas, 34 each in Coos and Linn, 31 in Lake, 22 in Benton and Crook, 21 in Umatilla, 20 in Douglas, 14 in Malheur, 12 in Wasco, 10 in Baker, Lake and Yamhill, seven in Columbia and Morrow, six each in in Josephine, Jefferson and Hood River, three in Clatsop, and one new case is Curry, Gilliam, Klamath, Harney, Lincoln, Sherman, Tillamook, Union and Wallowa.
