Police seek second robbery suspect Medford officers are having trouble finding the second suspect in a shooting and robbery this week. According to Medford Police Lt. Tim George, detectives want to question 31-year-old Franklin Uz Furgerson.They believe he and Adrian Ray Geyer, 26, who was arrested Monday, stole a 1987 Honda Prelude and wallet from Daniel James Kaough, 31, of Ashland, in the incident Sunday. Police arrived at an apartment at 509 W. Jackson St., Medford, just after 9 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report that a man holding a handgun had been knocking on the door of the apartment. They also had received a report that gunshots had been fired in the area. Kaough, who was at the apartment, told officers that the two men had stolen both his car and wallet. The car was found Tuesday near West Main Street. A third party in the incident allegedly fired the gunshots heard by neighbors, George said. That incident � which followed the robbery � is still under investigation, he added. The gun used has been recovered, George said. "Based on what we know, Geyer and Furgerson did not fire the rounds," he said. "Eventually, we�ll get to the bottom of this." Furgerson is no stranger to police. A known criminal, George said Furgerson was recently released from a stint in prison for a jail house assault and being a felon in possession of a gun in 1998. According to court documents, Furgerson previously has been convicted of menacing, burglary, spousal battery, obstructing and resisting police and giving false information to police.
