Rasmussen and Azuma, an 11-time national champion, defeated Richard Pierce (Portland) and Ken Rudd (Seattle), 15-6, 15-4. The duo finished 5-0 at the regional championships. It was the first regional tournament Rasmussen, 44, has played in in 20 years. He took 18 years off from the sport and has only recently begun playing again. Bowling Eugene’s Frank Schnebly used a 268 game in the finals to defeat Central Point’s Bob Korth (235) at a Southern Oregon Senior Tournament at Indian Lanes in Roseburg last Sunday. Roseburg’s Dan Fairchild finished third and Central Point’s Chuck Eilenberger took fourth. Advertisement S.O. High Game — Dan Fairchild, 300. High Series — Bob Korth, 800. Lela Larkin rolled a 300 on April 14 in the Crownlighters League at Roxy Ann Lanes. Rick Imhausen rolled his first 300 game in the Sparetimers Junior League at Roxy Ann Lanes. It was the first 300 game in almost 10 years by a junior at Roxy Ann Lanes. Joe Dauenhauer notched a 300 game recently at Lava Lanes. Also at Lava, Jason Rhine recorded a 299 game, Tony Bristow rolled a 296 and Euel Rutledge picked up a 290. Golf Gary Klouda scored a 148-yard ace on Rogue Valley Country Club’s 11th hole on April 7. The 7-iron shot was witnessed by Scott Weaver, John Zupan and Rich Bamford.
