Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend October 27, 2005 Library changes day for Halloween event CENTRAL POINT — Central Point Parks and Recreation officials have rescheduled a Halloween event held in conjunction with the city and newly opened county library branch. Originally set for Saturday, "The Storytellers Haunted Mansion," will instead be held from 4-7 p.m. today because of a scheduling conflict. Storytellers will be stationed throughout the library to treat little ghouls and goblins to scary stories and tasty refreshments. Admission is a donation of a new or used book which will be sent, in recognition of National Make a Difference Day, to displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina. Halloween-friendly stories starring Pecos Bill, Junie B. Jones and Mother Goose will be told by costumed storytellers stationed throughout the new library, at 116 S. Third St. To register, or for more information, call 664-7272.
