Charter says Pipeline will be ready soon The waiting game is nearly over for Charter Communications' 14,000 high-speed Internet users in Oregon - 5,000 in the Rogue Valley. Charter group vice president Ron Hren, who oversees the company's Oregon operations, said Wednesday that he expects to change Charter @Home customers to Charter Pipeline soon, but he didn't have a specific timetable. "Within the next few days, customers will re-ceive e-mail messages from us on how to make the change," Hren said. "The personal part of the e-mail address will re-main, but the domain will change to charter.net." He said that after the software is downloaded, the process should take less than 10 minutes. "We've had to literally re-create an ISP provider, servers, routers and connectivity to the Internet," Hren said. He said customers who are out of town will be contacted by phone or mail.
