Miscellaneous House Fire — A faulty woodstove flue led to a fire that damaged a house in the 4400 block of Old Sam’s Valley Highway, said Fire District 3 officials Sunday. The 1 p.m. blaze caused $10,000 in damage to the attic and wall area. Four units from the fire district responded to the scene, putting out the fire within about 15 minutes. Crews remained for about an hour to make sure the fire was completely out. Fire officials determined a woodstove pipe that led into a cracked cement casing was the cause of the fire.
