70th Anniversary: Orval and Mary Wagner By Mail Tribune staff Jul 11, 2019 02:23 PM A A Long time Medford residents Orval and Mary Wagner celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 6, with extended family at Porter’s restaurant. Orval and Mary were married July 1, 1949, in the home of the groom’s parents in Lebanon. After 22 years in the Willamette Valley, the Wagners moved to Medford in 1972. Orval worked in sales and management for the heavy equipment firm Howard Cooper Inc. Mary was active in the Alpha Lambda Sorority and taught for the Good News Club at Wilson Elementary. In 1983, the Wagners moved to Redding, California, and they returned to the Rogue Valley upon Orval’s retirement in 1996. They have four sons, Marty Wagner (Denise) of Pasco, Washington, Randy Wagner (Karen) of San Jose, California; Brad Wagner (Sherry) of Red Bluff, California, and Chris Wagner (Young) of Sacramento, California; and seven grandchildren. Mary has continued to be active with Alpha Lambda, and Orval enjoys rooting for the Seattle Mariners. Mary and Orval Wagner
