I was excited to hear they were going to build there (in my neighborhood), but now months later nothing has happened. Please don't tell me that my caffeine craving will still have to be satisfied by getting in my car and driving to a drive-thru. — Kathy L., Medford Kathy, you should be within walking distance of a grande caramel macchiato next spring. Medford architect Mark McKechnie, who has designed six Starbucks locations in Oregon and Washington, including this one, said the developer, Barnett Stage LLC, should get its building permit sometime this month and, hopefully, break ground by the end of the year. The 1,850-square-foot coffee shop going in on East Barnett Road across from Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center will be move-in ready by the end of February and, most likely, will open sometime in April. It’ll have a drive-thru, outdoor patio, lounge area and, best of all, caffeinated beverages. Send questions to “Since You Asked,” Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
