Jockey Twyla Beckner guided Jehosaphat to the 5-furlong victory that returned $11.60 on a $2 bet. Beckner, last season’s leading rider, picked up her second victory of the day in the ninth race — a $2,500 claimer going 4½ furlongs — on Angelrose. Beckner was one of four jockeys to win twice on the 10-race card. Tad Skaggs, Edgar Montehermoso and David Fowler-Wright also had a pair of victories. Montehermoso added three second-place finishes. Advertisement Skaggs won the opening race of the 16-day season aboard Moonlight Breeze in a 5-furlong, $2,500 claiming race. Trainer John McDevitt was the only trainer with double victories. Full Gallop, trained by Nancy Klapatch of Grants Pass, won impressively in his first outing. The 4-year-old colt was ridden by Montehermoso.
