His is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Renick Nadeau. He was born April 20, 1925 in Pasaic, N.J. as Frances Raymond McKenny. His father died when Frank was eight years old, the result of injuries suffered in WWI. He was later adopted by Norris and Mary Nadeau. Most of his adult life was spent in Southern California. Frank joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 at the age of 17 and saw repeated and heavy combat in the South Pacific aboard the destroyer the U.S.S. Black. After discharge in 1946 he worked with his adoptive father as a private detective for two years. He enrolled in Southwestern University and completed his under-graduate and law school courses. He received his LLB and was later given a JD degree. He then worked for Los Angeles County from 1959 to 1982 and then retired. Frank met Ruth in Mexico. A beautiful courtship led to their marriage in 1963. Frank and Ruth moved to Grants Pass, enjoyed country living, restoring an old farm house, stable, and workshop on five acres. They cross-country skied with great joy and loved Maggie, their Labrador. This happy couple shared great love for each other over 52 years together with an unequivocal bond and their mutual loyalty and respect for each other. Frank had wonderful memories of travels, especially Ireland. He was an expert at stained glass window construction and the building of old sailing vessel models. A memorial ceremony with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Arrangements are through Neptune Cremation Services and Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives.
