Man found dead near Gold Hill exit By Mail Tribune staff Dec 20, 2021 08:00 AM A A Police and medical examiners are working to determine a cause of death for a man whose body was found off Interstate 5 near Gold Hill. Marc Edwin Fuller, 50, of Central Point, was found deceased at 3:10 p.m. Saturday near the Exit 40 offramp, according to a release issued by Oregon State Police over the weekend. Police say that Fuller suffered an unknown medical emergency near his camp, and was found deceased by another camper. The death investigation — which also drew resources from the Jackson County Sheriff’s office and the Oregon Department of Transportation — closed the southbound Exit 40 offramp towards Gold Hill for approximately three hours into Saturday evening.
