A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Taylor Friday on charges of second- and fourth-degree assault, first-degree criminal mistreatment and harassment. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on more than $1 million bail, then released on her own recognizance Friday evening. Drugs — Travis Brent Cavalli, 29, of the 100 block of West Main Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Cavalli Friday on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail on $5,000 bail, then released on his own recognizance Friday. Sex offender — Isaac Edward Byrne, 30, of Medford. Medford police arrested Byrne Friday on charges of failure to register his address and birthday as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night without bail. Forgery — David Wesley Cogdill Jr., 19, no address listed. Rogue River police arrested Cogdill on three counts of first-degree forgery, as well as first-degree possession of a forged instrument and theft of services. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday on $21,000 bail. Theft — William Joseph Edsall, 60, no address listed. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edsall Friday on an out-of-county warrant charging him with unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night. Crime reports Pipe bombs — Terry Lane, Grants Pass. A Grants Pass police officer saw a speeding car on M Street. When police stopped the car at Wal-Mart, they found two pipe bombs inside. The driver, Kevin Andrew Officer, 20, of Grants Pass, was arrested on two counts of possession of a destructive device and lodged in the Josephine County Jail. An Oregon State Police bomb squad with help from the Jackson County sheriff’s department disposed of the bombs.
