Investigators with the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team, SOCET, partnered with Eagle Point Police to serve a federal search warrant Wednesday at a residence on the 600 block of Teakwood Drive in Eagle Point. Law enforcement seized digital devices from the Teakwood location. These devices will be forensically examined by High Tech Crimes for further evidence of child exploitation, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children started this investigation, which led to subpoenas, which was followed by the search warrant being carried out at the residence. And in a separate action on Tuesday, team members arrested a man in the 2300 block of Azalea Drive in Grants Pass. Timothy Allen Beck, 25, has been charged with five counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. Beck is being held in the Josephine County Jail for $100,000 bail. The center also received information that child porn had been uploaded at several locations in Medford. Investigators visited those addresses on Monday. Team members are interviewing possible witnesses and involved parties, and these investigations are ongoing. SOCET is a joint interagency task force that started in June of 2020 to combat child exploitation and human trafficking.
