Cedar Links reopened, but not paved yet Sunday Dec 4, 2016 at 12:01 AM I thought the work on Cedar Links Drive was to be finished early in November. The road is now open to through traffic, but it's a gravel road. When is this going to be finished ? It has been a real pain in the neck. What's going on? —Richard M., via email That section of Cedar Links was closed for five weeks to allow a developer, who had projects on both sides of the street, to build all at once — most likely, to minimize the inconvenience — rather than piece by piece, says Alex Georgevitch, deputy director of Medford Public Works. “The closure was intended to allow the contractor to build the center section and install underground utilities and then open it as soon as practical,” Georgevitch said. Cedar Links re-opened Monday, Nov. 21. And, while that part of the project is complete, the road won’t be paved until sometime in January. “This is all weather-dependent and could take much longer if Mother Nature does not cooperate,” Georgevitch warned.
