Suspect in week-old rape is still at large ASHLAND - Police ask for help from the community to identify a rape suspect. Police still are investigating a reported Dec. 19 rape of a woman in a residence at the 200 block of B Street. The suspect is a white man in his early 30s. He was described as approximately 6-1, weighing 200 pounds, with a "brownish-blond" beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing an olive-colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and tan leather gloves. There is no indication that he lives in Ashland. The victim told police that a man raped her between 10:30 and 11 p.m. The man approached the woman outside the building with some type of "cutting weapon" before taking her inside and raping her, said Ashland police Sgt. Kirk Cromwell. The victim later was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released. The rape was reported early the next morning. The man should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
