The Eagles (2-9 overall) outscored Roseburg 16-12 in the second quarter and trailed 23-20 at halftime. "We played tough in the first half," said Eagle Point coach Rob Kleker. "We missed some chippies in the first quarter. We missed our first three or four layins. If we could have made those, it would have put us in pretty good position in the first half." Roseburg slowed the tempo in the second half, forcing the Eagles to work harder on defense and take less time on offense. "We didn’t respond too well," said Kleker, adding that his team seemed fatigued and shot poorly. Advertisement "But the kids played hard," he said. "If we could have played another half like we did in the first one, it might have been another ballgame." Kirsten Emigh had 11 points and four steals for the Eagles. Salina Sychla chipped in six points, six rebounds and four assists. Haley Buckbee scored 19 for Roseburg.
