Tips sought to find missing Douglas County woman By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Dec 07, 2021 02:32 PM A A The family of a Douglas County woman who disappeared last week is asking people to come forward with clues to help police find her. Bonnie Jo Short, 77, was last seen at her Myrtle Creek home about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 27, when she left in a 2015 Ford Escape SUV with Oregon license plate 900 MLJ, according to Myrtle Creek police release issued last week and fliers circulated by relatives Tuesday. A relative says Short left behind a 50-year-old daughter with mental illness who depends on her. She is is described as a white woman about 5-feet, 4-inches tall, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue slacks, a gray and black striped sweatshirt, black boots and a gray bathrobe. Family say that there has been no activity on her bank or credit cards since her disappearance, and that she hasn’t switched on her phone since she left.
