Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend March 16, 2006 Emergency Services Felony arrests Assault — John James Kirk, 27, of an unknown address. Medford police arrested Kirk early Wednesday on charges of fourth-degree assault and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $35,000 bail. Illegal weapon — Toby Tyler Bicknell, 25, of the 100 block of Cedar St., Shady Cove. Shady Cove police arrested Bicknell Wednesday on a felony charge of possession of an illegal weapon. He was lodged in the county jail on $5,000 bail. Crime reports Burglary — Jackson County Sheriff’s Department deputies took a report Wednesday of a burglary in the 5400 block of Upton Road. Burglaries — Medford police took reports Wednesday of burglaries in the 1200 block of Mira Mar Ave., the 3500 block of Excel Drive and the 40 block of Quince St. Miscellaneous Dog attack — Shady Cove firefighters assisted a 54-year-old woman Wednesday who was attacked by two dogs in the 100 block of Elder Mill Road in Trail. She was transported by flight to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Jackson County Animal Control was expected to investigate the incident Thursday. Road rage — Interstate 5 was shut down for a few minutes Wednesday night when the driver of a small car repeatedly bolted in front of semitrucks headed northbound just south of Rogue River. The drivers of the semitrucks stopped the vehicle by boxing it in with their vehicles until Oregon State Police arrived on the scene at about 10 p.m. It was unknown late Wednesday whether charges would be filed against the car’s driver.
