Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend September 13, 2005 Honor Roll Basketball Kid’s Unlimited placed first in the boys division and third in the girls division at a basketball tournament in Walnut, Calif., last weekend. The boys went 4-0 and the girls 3-1. Bowling Neal Roberts and Mark Wilson each rolled 11 strikes in a row en route to big games recently at Lava Lanes. Roberts had a 299 and Wilson a 290. Golf A team comprised of Todd Couch , Mark DeBoer, Scott Reed and Mike Zarosinski shot 56 to win the Open Hands, Open Hearts Golf Tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Course this weekend. There was enough money raised for the Open Hands, Open Hearts Foundation to ship a 20-foot container of medicine and supplies to Papua New Guinea. Advertisement Wolf Schulenburg made a hole-in-one with his pitching wedge on the 87-yard 15th hole at the Eagle Point Golf Club on Sept. 5. It was his second in two months on the hole and was witnessed by Alex Schulenburg, Ted Atkins and Susie Atkins. Chris DeVahl of Orange County, Calif., scored an ace on the 121-yard second hole at Stone Ridge using a 7-iron Sept. 8. Witnesses were Gary DeVahl and Lance Tavalero. Track & Field Dan Bulkley of Phoenix won a gold medal in the 85-89 age division decathlon at the World Masters Track and Field Championships held in San Sebastian, Spain, over the last two weeks. A knee injury forced Bulkley to withdraw from the 800 meters and 300 hurdles, but he came back on the last day of the 2-kilometer steeplechase to win another gold medal.
