Shots fired into occupied home in Talent Tuesday Dec 6, 2016 at 12:48 PM Dec 6, 2016 at 5:29 PM Nick Morgan Mail Tribune @mtcrimebeat Talent police are looking for witnesses to an early-morning shooting at a residence that had several children inside. Several shots were reported fired into a residence in the 800 block of South Pacific Highway at just about 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to a media release issued by Talent police. Witnesses reported seeing a sport-utility vehicle fleeing the area after the incident, but police don't know the make or model. Three children were inside the home at the time, including a 1-year-old, according to the release. No one was hit by the bullets, but one resident sustained a minor injury from flying wood splinters. A call to Talent police wasn't immediately returned. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Talent Police Department at 541-535-1253 and reference case number 16-3816.
