File photo People interested in high-paying, in-demand jobs in construction fields can learn about apprenticeship opportunities during a free webinar. The webinar is from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday via Zoom videoconference service. To register, visit www.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_vkPeAb9PTTinu3kPg9iwJw The apprenticeships offer paid education and on-the-job training for careers in carpentry, interior/exterior specialist, drywall finisher and taper, cement masonry and painting. Apprenticeships are available in Jackson and Klamath counties. Apprentices take community college classes and can work with a range of local companies, including Adroit Construction, Summit Home, Massey Interiors, Bogatay Construction and Modoc Contractors. The webinar is being offered by the Southern Oregon Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and the Oregon Employment Department.
