He was born October 23, 1926 in Medford, Ore. to Kenneth V. Blunkall and Helen (Schulz) Morgan. He married Geraldine Allen June 19, 1978 in Reno, Nev. Donald was Confirmed and Baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Medford, Ore. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Gerrie Blunkall of Medford; children, Donald (Karen) Blunkall Jr., Helen (Fred) Cain, Lori (Mark) Shumate, Barbara Blunkall, and Darren (Stephnnie) Blunkall; his sisters, Joan Osborne of Winchester, Ore. and Carol (Ed) Messmer of Umpqua, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two grandsons, and a great-granddaughter. A celebration of life potluck will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Lake Creek Pioneer Hall Historical Society Park in Lake Creek, Ore. Memorial donations may be made to the local Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements in care of Lori Shumate for more information call 541-324-7316.
