Siskiyou Golden Fair canceled due to McKinney Fire Updated: Aug 02, 2022 01:05 PM A A For the second time in three years, the annual Siskiyou Golden Fair, scheduled to run Aug. 10-14, has been canceled due to a state of emergency. “We have all suffered through two full years of the pandemic, and now the McKinney Fire and the unfavorable weather conditions have made the fairgrounds part of the equation to protect as much private property and human life as possible,” said a news advisory issued by fair officials Monday. Officials with the Junior Livestock Auction Committee are working on a plan to support junior livestock market animal exhibitors with a show and sale schedule that is being developed at this time, the advisory said.
