Ross whitewashes Lakeview on 2 hits LAKEVIEW � Tiffany Ross proved to be too much to handle for Lakeview on Tuesday. The Phoenix softball pitcher tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout in leading the Pirates to a 5-0 Skyline Conference win. Lakeview�s Jackie Johnson also threw well but succumbed to some late-inning offense by the Pirates. Phoenix finally broke through in the fifth inning with two hits, a walk and a passed ball. In the sixth inning, the Pirates added two more to seal the win. Phoenix improved to 5-1 in conference play while the Honkers dropped to 1-3.
