Emergency No signs of foul play, according to Medford police Investigators have determined that the west Medford fire that killed a 74-year-old man was accidental. Medford police identified Nick John Titta as the person found Saturday evening within a fifth-wheel RV trailer fire. Titta lived in the RV trailer described by police as “small” and “older” by himself. The fire was first called in at 6:13 p.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Kings Highway. Police say the trailer was “fully engulfed” by the time police and fire got on scene, and that first-responders found Titta’s body inside only after the fire was contained. An autopsy conducted Wednesday determined that Titta died of carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation, according to police. Medical examiners determined Titta’s manner of death was accidental. Fire investigators officially ruled the fire’s cause as “undetermined” this week, but police found no signs of foul play.
