John Butler Trio to play Britt Sept. 12 John Butler Monday Apr 3, 2017 at 12:48 PM Apr 3, 2017 at 2:16 PM The John Butler Trio will perform Sept. 12 at the Britt Music & Arts Festival, Britt officials announced today. The trio will perform as part of its North American Summer Tour starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $49 for reserved seating, $49 for standing room only, $39 for lawn seating and $29 for children. Britt's full 2017 schedule will be announced Thursday. Tickets will go on sale to the public May 12. Members may buy tickets starting Friday by calling 541-773-6077 or visiting www.brittfest.org. Founder of Australia’s Jarrah Records and a skateboard aficionado, Butler performs folk, funk, reggae and rock. An art-school dropout, he was "discovered" while busking in 1996. Other members of the trio are Byron Luiters on bass and Grant Gerathy on drums and percussion. The opening act has not been announced. Other performers announced this season include Rebelution June 28, English reggae band UB40 July 14, and Diana Krall July 23. The Classical Festival, which runs from July 28 through Aug. 13, was announced in February.
