Phoenix run commemorates 9/11 victims Sep 10, 2014 12:00 AM A A A 5K run to pay tribute to the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Blue Heron Park, off Bear Creek Drive in Phoenix. The Remembrance Run, hosted by the Firehouse Five Foundation also will raise funds for victims displaced from their homes by fire or other disasters, as well as scholarships and emergency equipment. Attendees who pre-register by Friday will pay $20 and receive a T-shirt. Attendees who register the day of the event will pay $25 and not receive a shirt.
