Firefighters went to Timber Products Co. in the first block of East McAndrews Road at 10:40 p.m. Friday after several callers reported seeing a fire there, said Ken Goodson, a battalion chief with the Medford Fire Department. Sawdust in a metal container sparked during the milling process, Goodson said. Firefighters put out the fire and stayed on the scene until after midnight. Goodson said it would likely cost the company thousands of dollars to replace the container.
