Drivers should expect short-term delays between Colver and Rapp roads as the grinding and paving phase begins. Asphalt grinding begins at 7 a.m. and will continue until 9 p.m. daily today and Friday. Two weeks of daytime paving begins on Monday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Paving is expected to be finished before the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The project has modified Highway 99, creating curbs, gutters, sidewalks, bicycle lanes and landscaping. Other improvements include a redesigned highway intersection with Colver and Suncrest roads, installation of a traffic signal at the Highway 99 and Rapp Road intersection, modification of the existing traffic signal at Highway 99 and West Valley View Road, widening of the Wagner Creek Bridge and installation of a city-funded water line.
