Toys ‘R’ Us coming to Medford Macy’s By Kevin Opsahl Updated: Jul 26, 2022 05:45 PM A A The Toys “R” Us brand will make a comeback of sorts in Medford. The popular toy store that closed its Medford location in 2018 will open inside Macy’s at Rogue Valley Mall, a representative for the department store giant has confirmed. Macy’s announced earlier this month it was planning to “bring the beloved Toys ‘R’ Us brand to every Macy’s store in America this holiday season.” The department store is able to do it thanks to WHP Global, which bought up the brand after the company declared bankruptcy. Allison Edheimer, an external communications associate with Macy’s, did not offer many details to the Mail Tribune beyond what was in the company’s news release. “The Toys ‘R’ Us shops will open throughout the fall with varying dates,” she wrote in an email. “I will follow up with you once we have a grand opening date to share for Macy’s Medford Rogue Valley.” The plan is for Toys ‘R’ Us outlets to open at all Macy’s on a rolling basis, from now until Oct. 15. The in-store shops will range from 1,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. However, the footprint of stores “may flex up an additional 500 to 3,000 square feet during the holiday season to offer an even wider assortment of products,” the release said.
