Lake Tahoe tops Southern Oregon Feb 14, 2015 12:00 AM A A SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — The Southern Oregon Spartans nearly doubled Lake Tahoe’s shot attempts, but the Blue made the most of their opportunities in a 5-2 victory during Western States Hockey League action at Lake Tahoe Ice Arena on Friday. Mackenzie Wood put the Spartans (28-10) on the scoreboard first with a goal midway through the second period, but Lake Tahoe (7-28) answered with three straight scores to take control.
