South Medford (20-2, 10-1 SWC) is now two games up on second-place North Medford and Sheldon with three games to play in the SWC. Raymond Benford led the fifth-ranked Panthers with 11 points to go with three assists, while fellow senior Conor Carroll added nine points and six rebounds. Eskari Carter and Chase Cota also had six points apiece. Earlier this season, South Medford set a school record in limiting Willamette (7-14, 3-8) to 23 points in an 81-23 victory but the Panthers were only 15-for-38 from the field in the rematch. NORTH MEDFORD 68, THURSTON 47: Brian Schireman totaled 18 points, seven assists and four rebounds and Tyren Wolfe had 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead North Medford to the Southwest Conference home victory. Matt Lasota added 10 points off the bench for the seventh-ranked Black Tornado (17-4, 8-3 SWC), while Tre Holmes had seven points, five assists and four rebounds and Tucker Barry added five points and six rebounds. MARIST 61, EAGLE POINT 47: At Eagle Point, junior guard Mario Quintero made three of Eagle Point’s seven 3-pointers and finished with 17 points in the Midwestern League home loss.
