Cascade holds on for 58-51 win over Elkton YONCALLA � Loren King and his Cascade Christian girls basketball team learned a vital lesson Friday night: If it isn�t broken, don�t fix it. The Challengers flirted with disaster due to a change in defensive scheme but held on for a 58-51 victory over Elkton in the Yoncalla Tournament. Kelly Clarke poured in a game-high 28 points to lead the Challengers into the championship game of the tournament. Cascade (3-1) used a man-to-man defense to stymie Elkton for three quarters. When the Challengers went to a zone, however, Elkton outscored Cascade 21-6 in the third quarter for its first lead of the game. Jennifer Roos helped nail down the win for Cascade with eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter. The Challengers play Yoncalla today at 3 p.m. in the championship.
