Tutunov Piano Series: This series of concerts named after Alexander Tutunov — professor of piano and artist in residence at Southern Oregon University — will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, with a solo performance by German pianist Andreas Klein in the SOU Music Recital Hall, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Klein will perform a collection of dances by Johann Sebastian Bach titled "Partita," written in 1726, Ludwig van Beethoven's "Sonata (Pathetique)," and Frederic Chopin's "Ballade," along with music by Claude Debussy, Franz Liszt and Guiseppe Verde. Saturday, Oct. 31 Monster Dash: The Halloween runs will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, at Lithia Park along Winburn Way in Ashland. Children's Halloween Parade: The Ashland Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Children's Halloween Parade, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. There will be activities for the family both before and after the parade. Families and children should line up on Third Street between East Main and Lithia Way before the parade and will follow Samba Like It Hot down to the Plaza. Adults without children are asked to line up on Siskiyou Boulevard in front of the Plaza and follow behind the children. Halloween Storytime: The Ashland library will hold its annual Spooktacular Halloween Family Storytime from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.
