Mariotta made her initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of amphetamines. She was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released on her own recognizance. Burglary — Stephen Leslie Jackson, 56, of the 800 block of Niantic Street, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Jackson on charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespass. He was processed Monday at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $5,000 bail. Elude — Jeffrey Wayne Peters, 30, of Grants Pass. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Sunday arrested Peters on charges of attempting to elude in a vehicle, menacing, resisting arrest, point a firearm at another person, endangerment and harassment. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on his own recognizance. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 92 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap of no more than 230 inmates. Of those, 25 were released before their scheduled court appearances, eight were granted an early release from a sentence and 59 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
