EASTER Easter egg hunts are a long-standing tradition in the Rogue Valley Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Apr. 3, 2015 at 12:01 AM Posted Apr. 3, 2015 at 12:01 AM » Social News Kiwanis Club of Medford Easter Egg Hunt: The Kiwanis' 74th annual Easter egg hunt has been moved from Medford's Hawthorne Park to Pear Blossom Park, on North Bartlett Street between East Fourth and Fifth streets in The Commons downtown. The event will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, and will include areas designated for specific age groups: 0 to 2 or handicapped, 3 to 4, 5 to 6 and 7 to 9. Come join the fun as the children scoop up 15,000 candy treats in two minutes or less. The Easter Bunny will be on hand, passing out balloons and posing for photographs. Visitors should arrive at least 15 minutes before the free hunt begings. Call 541-776-5031. Eagle Point Community Easter Egg Hunt: The community's 27th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, on the sports field at the former Eagle Point Junior High School, corner of South Shasta Avenue and East Main Street. Free candy, toothbrushes and stuffed animals will be available. Bring baskets or bags and look for "lucky" stickers on candy which are good for prizes. Specific areas will be designated for age groups: 2 and younger, 3 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 9, 10 to 11, and kids with special needs. Children can take home only one stuffed animal. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photographs, or bring your own camera. Refreshments will be served at The Church on the Hill, 40 0 Stevens Road. Call 541-944-2446 for information. American Legion Easter Egg Hunt: The American Legion Auxiliary will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at noon Saturday, April 4, at Veterans Memorial Park, 1100 Armory Drive, Medford. Participation is free. Call 541-601-9241. Easter Egg Hunt: A free Easter egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 5, at Skylark Assisted Living and Memory Care, 900 Skylark Place, Ashland. Meet the Easter Bunny and find surprises. Call 541-552-1713. Easter Egg Hunt at Lithia Park: The 57th annual Ashland rotary Easter egg hunt will begin at noon Sunday, April 5, near the tennis courts in Lithia Park. About 250 dozen eggs provided by Willamette Egg Farm and dyed by Southern Oregon University's dining staff — along with candy and two "golden" eggs which are good for prizes — will be available for children in five age groups: 2 and younger, 3 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 8 and 9 to 10. The free hunt lasts only a minute or two, so plan to arrive early so children will not be disappointed. Bring baskets or bags for eggs and candy.
