Individually, Brad Higgins of Grants Pass and Sheldon's Casey Masterson were the boys and girls winners respectively in the 5K race at Pre's Trail. Higgins posted a time of 16 minutes, 25 seconds to defeat runner-up Max Hammer of Sheldon by five seconds. Masterson recorded a mark of 18:06. South Medford freshman Kelsey Bradshaw was second at 19:33. The North Medford boys were led by Richard Zhu's fifth-place finish (16:48). The Black Tornado totaled 43 points to 49 for South Eugene.
