The most recent robbery was reported at 10 p.m. Sunday at the Flamingos in the 400 block of Highland Drive. A man entered the business, demanded money and claimed he had a gun, police said. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Medford police Lt. Kerry Curtis said as many as four people were in the business and no one was hurt. The man never displayed a weapon. A description was not available as the man was heavily covered, Curtis said. Police think the suspect could be linked to similar robbery that occurred about a mile and a half away on July 30. In that case, a suspect walked into the Purple Parrot at 828 S. Central Ave. Like the Flamingos robbery, the man said he was armed and demanded cash. He reportedly fled east on foot, police said. Several customers were inside and no one was injured. The Purple Parrot suspect description is limited: 5 feet 8 inches, a medium build, 30 to 40 years old. He wore a black ski mask.
