Ann was born May 20, 1943 in Philadelphia, Penn. to John Charles Brakmann and Delores Binni. Ann grew up in the Women's Jewish Hospital, and attended Catholic convent schools until the age of 10. From ages 10 to 14, Ann lived with her parents who worked in a mental health facility until its closure, when the family moved to Florida. When Ann was 15, she was exposed to DDT which caused myriad health problems, particularly with allergies. At 17, Ann married her first husband and had her son, Craig in Bristol, PA. They later divorced, and on December 31, 1964 Ann married the love of her life, Donald Edward Boss, in Burlington, VA. They remained married for 47 years. Don's pet name for Ann was "My Love" and he called her "Little One" and he adopted and raised Ann's son, Craig. The family moved first to California then to Jerome, ID. where they opened and ran a bakery business. A move to Twin Falls, ID followed in 1975 and for several years Ann was both secretary and manager for Regal Homes Manufacturing in Kimberly, ID. This is where she met her dear friend, Claire Nice, a friendship that lasted 43 years. Ann and Don moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 where Don worked as a bakery manager at Safeway. Don passed away April 26, 2012 with Ann and her friend, Claire by his side. At the time of her passing, Ann lived in Jacksonville, Ore. Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Delores; her father, John; her grandparents; her brother; Roy Eugene Brakmann; and his wife, Carole; Ann's son, Mark; and her beloved husband, Donald Boss. Ann is survived by her son, Craig; grandsons, Travis and Chaz; Craig's wife, Joy; and her children, Samantha and Nick; and her great-grandchild, Bella Rai. At Ann's request, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SMART, 670 Superior Ct., Ste. 108, Medford, Ore. 97504 or CATS, 104 N.
