Camper falls to death from tree PROSPECT A camper from Central Point tumbled to his death while climbing a tree near here Friday night, Jackson County sheriffs deputies said. Joseph Michael Orlow, 37, was camping in the area of a Boise Cascade logging road, about three-quarters of a mile off Butte Falls-Prospect Highway, when he attempted to climb a tree at about 11 p.m., according to sheriffs Sgt. John Atkins. "He was high up in the tree, which was about 80 to 100 feet in height," Atkins said. "The people he was camping with, they heard a branch snap." Orlow was pronounced dead at the scene. Atkins said Orlow was camping with his sons, two boys, who witnessed the accident.
