By JONEL ALECCIA Mail Tribune Even before the September fire, the family of four was struggling. But when their travel trailer burned to the ground, destroying all of their possessions, all without insurance, life got worse. Since then, the White City couple and their two children, ages 7 and 1, have moved from place to place every few days, relying on family, friends or other haphazard sleeping arrangements. Advertisement "They’re homeless, they’re struggling," says Cheryl Collins, an advocate with the Rogue Family Center in White City. "But it looks like they’re really trying right now." Both in their mid-20s, the man and woman are looking for entry-level employment and a cheap place to live. In the meantime, however, the one thing that would help their holiday season is clothing for the kids. The baby, age 15 months, wears a size 2T or 3T. The 7-year-old wears a size 6 to 8. Age-appropriate toys and household items would also be appreciated; storage has been arranged until they find a home. Donations can be dropped off at the Rogue Family Center, 3131 Avenue C, White City, attention Diana Escobedo. Or, for more information, call Collins at 864-8757.
